It all started when…

Charlie Weber, former President of Program Council, and Ally Van Deuren, President of SMU Student Theatre, came together to create a theatre opportunity for people who missed the thrill of being on stage, but were not performing arts majors. During Easter Weekend each year, a team of roughly 50 performers and 15 tech staff start on Thursday evening and perform in a one-time-only show on Saturday afternoon. There's full numbers, costumes, a live orchestra, blocking, and everything else you would expect from a production produced in way more time. 24 Hour Musical is held in the Greer Garson and continually performs to a sold out crowd every single year.
