Neon Noise Recap!

Neon Noise, 2/28/24

Lights flashed, beats throbbed, and excitement echoed throughout the air in Hughes-Trigg Ballroom on February 28, 2024. Neon hues and colorful lights illuminated the room during our first event of the semester, Neon Noise.

SMU students and faculty were greeted with glow-in-the-dark accessories and candy-galore. One of the highlights of the evening was the throwback music that transported everyone back to a different era. The dance floor came alive when the DJ dropped tunes of infectious dances like “The Cupid Shuffle.” Bites from local favorites like Shugs, The Salty Donut, Emporium Pies, and Bread Winners were available for all to enjoy.

The mirror painting station allowed creative expressions to flow freely. Designs like monograms, logos, and fun drawings were created on each piece. A special nod goes to one of our Programming chairs, Lily Vandermolen, for perfectly re-creating the PC logo on her mirror! The photo booth, which had fun accessories and props, provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the joy and laughter that defined the event.

Neon Noise exemplifies Program Council’s commitment to bringing fun and vibrancy into campus life. We’d like to thank our VP of Programming, Anna Leo, and the two Neon Noise Programming Chairs, Andria Song and Victoria Valdez, for making this event possible. Your hard work and creative vision to put on this event does not go unnoticed and we appreciate all of your planning to make Neon Noise happen. Thank you to all who came to Neon Noise, we appreciate your attendance and hope you had as much fun as we did! We look forward to seeing each and every one of you at our next celebration on April 2nd, as we bring more fun to campus and honor Earth Day.

SMU students have fun under the neon lights, eating, dancing, and posing with friends.
